David Palumbo-Liu is the Louise Hewlett Nixon Professor of Comparative Literature at Stanford. His most recent books are The Deliverance of Others: Reading Literature in a Global Age and a co-edited volume, Immanuel Wallerstein and the Problem of the World: System, Scale, Culture. He is the founding editor of Occasion: Interdisciplinary Studies in the Humanities and also founded and directs the TeachingHumanRights.org collaboration.
